More than twenty-five years ago Linda Frear and Pat Forbes, who liked to entertain their friends together at the beach, came to the rescue of Pat's mother Helen Murphy. Helen had invited guests for a cocktail party only to find out that the caterer had passed away. What a dilemma! Linda and Pat worked together to plan, shop for ingredients, prepare and serve and elegant cocktail buffet that exceeded all expectations. Heart's Delight was born that summer night in July to fill a growing need in Delaware to assist summer and winter residents with entertaining in their homes. Grace and elegance were the key words. Heart's Delight has catered thousands of functions and events. Catering weddings, inaugural dinners, Beebe Medical Foundation “Best of the Beach," corporate openings, holiday parties and dinners for individuals, and governmental agencies.

These functions have been held from Wilmington , DE ; to Ocean City , MD ; Salisbury , MD ; in Washington , DC ; Dallas , TX ; and at the Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo , FL. Word of mouth references, from satisfied customers, have been our principal method of advertising.
